Supervision Software XOne

XOne is a supervision software platform, with a distributed architecture, designed and realized to manage all the monitoring systems and devices produced by Advanced Devices S.p.A. and, if necessary, by other companies.

XOne collects and shows all the information coming from the monitoring systems, with a user friendly GUI (graphic user interface).

Architecture

XOne is composed of different software-modules, that can be installed on a single Computer or on a net of Computers.

Each software-module was designed for a specific task, described as follows:

Connector module

Specialized for the connection with the monitoring system.

It can use every kind of connection device, such as GSM or pstn modem, LAN connection, etc.

DBServer Moduler

It centralizes all the functions as data memorization. It also stores all the information coming from the monitoring system.

Profiler Module

Enables the user to gain to access to the supervision system.

Synchronyzer Module

The core of the supervision system, because it provides and mantains the links between all the software-modules of the platform. It also gives instant access to the acquired data.

Manager Module

All the operations for supervision and the management, made by the software user, are performed by Manager software-Module, that is the "Graphic manager" of the XOne software platform. The Manager Module gives, therefore, a user friendly GUI (graphic user interface).

Its box-like structure contains a set of graphic tools,Some of which can be described as follows

  • Standard view of Monitoring system. A graphic tool contained in the manager module, that gives all the information of every single monitoring system controlled by the software. The way in which this information is displayed is simple, standardized and homogeneous.
  • Personalized view of Monitoring system. A graphic tool that allows the customer to choose how the info from the monitoring system is visualized.
  • Map View It provides a rapid individualization of the monitoring system on a map, and a simple way to check the state of the monitoring system, by the colour of the icon on the map.
  • Historic View. Allows the user to search in the "historical events database", in order to analyse and control the monitoring system.
  • Historic measures view. A graphic tool that shows the time graph of measures recorded from the monitoring systems. It also allows print outs and data exports, in standard formats to perform further analysis of the data by other software applications.
  • Users Profiler. A tool to define the user profiles of the supervision software.
  • Logging. Every user operation, and every automatic operation of the supervision software are stored in an special database.
  • Polling. This graphic tool allows the user to make manual and automatic calls towards monitoring systems. In particular, it allows the user to call a monitoring system for an instant update, and to plan a set of automatic calls, to check periodically the state of the monitoring system.
  • Events Viewer. All monitoring systems events are stored, in typological order, in a register the user can access. To allow easy access and control and focus on particular events, there are some filters that can be personalized by the user
  • Manager module configuration. The user can personalize the manager module as required, according to graphics or work demands.

WEB Module (optional)

Similar to the manager modules, for "graphic management" of supervision system, but in a "WEB Version".

Unlike other modules, this one becomes necessary when the user needs all the advantages of WEB-Based Application, e.g. the possibility to use the supervision system on both internet or on an intranet.

Installation modality

X.One can be installed in "stand-alone" modality and "net" modality.

In the "stand-alone" modality all software-modules are installed on the same computer, in which all the functions are available but in proportion to the resources of the pc.

In "net" modality, it is possible to install the software-modules on more than one computer in the same net, in proportion to the number of "monitoring systems" to be controlled, and the number of "module managers" present on the net.

Hierarchical levels of supervision

The supervision of monitoring systems can be structured in the following way:

  • Single level: where the monitoring systems are linked to a unique supervision centre which carries out the control functions.
  • Multi Levels: where the monitoring systems are connected to a "first level" supervision centre which is then linked to one or more "second level" supervision center.
